Brief & audience

Help visitors identify destinations within an industrial site through a branded direction board.

My contribution

Wayfinding graphic design and information layout. The archive pairs Abdul’s artwork with a photograph of the installed sign.

Constraints

The sign needs to carry multiple destinations in a tall, narrow format and remain distinguishable from the surrounding buildings and landscape.

Design decisions

  • A light logo panel separates brand identification from the darker direction field below.
  • Repeated rows and aligned arrows give each destination the same visual structure.
  • The blue and white palette creates a clear contrast, visible in both the layout and the installed example.

Deliverables & implementation

An authentic archive photograph shows the Pattabi direction sign installed outdoors. It substantiates this application; it does not establish measured navigation improvements or the rollout of other materials.
